JAMIYAH CARNIVAL 2006

It was a blah but Cuzzie managed to pull me out from the Valley of Boredom. We spent almost 20 bucks on food and 3 bucks on this dart game, I challenged Cuzzie to strike 3 balloons and she went so confident mama that she could, but at last she striked only one balloon, which I laughed like mad soon after.

We watched the performance and when the emcee said that Taufik Batisah will be performing, I gasped loudly even before my brain could process the information, which in return resulted in massive humiliation because to my surprise, nobody actually cheered or screamed (referring to teenage girlies) and the makciks in front of me turned to me and stared at me cos apparently I was the ketinggalan-one who still supported Taufik at this era whereby the 2nd season of Singapore Idol is on.

And there was a performance by this infamous 17-year-old girl. Even before her 2nd performance, I was yawning like fuck. So during her 2nd performance, she needed 3 people from the floor to come up to the stage to dance with her to the song 'Pudar' by Rossa. And to my huge horror, the emcee actually draggeeeeddd me from my seat to COME UP TO THE STAGE TO DANCE. I was like, ohmygiddygodholyfuck so I had no choice and my knees went weak. NORMALLY I would be so up to it to this kind of thing but not that day cos I was like, overshadowed by the other 2 people because I was only dressed in t-shirt and jeans and SLIPPERS (come to think of it!) and NOOOOO MAKE UP and my face looked terribly pale! So I was like, feeling so low so I just swayed side to side to the fast song even though I was mentally dancing to the dance steps that I had in mind. MALU.

I insisted on leaving soon after the embarassing 3-minute of fame, but there was a lucky draw and I couldn't resist it. So we stayed, Cuzzie and I holding 6 tickets each, which makes 12, and the possibility of winning is high cos inside the lucky draw box, you can practically count the number of tickets inside. So we held our hopes high but to my giddy surprise, the numbers aren't even close to ours! So at the 16th prize, (which they paused and moved on to the next performance) Cuzzie was fuming mad and she insisted that we leave the place at that very moment.

Okay this is going to be random. I was thinking about first dates. Typically, couples on their first date will go and catch a movie, then a dinner and blah blah blah. It's like, so secondary school. So I recalled back my first dates and reminisced the first date with Tim, we were planning to catch a movie but the movies were like so blah, so we went to ECP to slack. Strolled by the beach (and both of us were so totally out of the line cos we were quite formal compared to the people at the beach who were clad in bikinis and loose t-shirts and shorts) Tim was wearing this t-shirt and loose jacket and jeans and sneakers while I was wearing this turtleneck and long skirt and sneakers, so we were a bit embarassed but heck. So we crossed this stone thingy and kept calling the giant stone a whale cos it looked like as if it was "eating" the rubbish which were swept nearby. So we went back cos it was hot and we went to McCafe and sat down with double chocolate smoothie and a log cake (yum) which we shared and we talked and talked and talked. I was completely happy and enjoyed every minute we had cos the atmosphere was like, so friendly and warm, I was comfortable with it. He was one funny guy. And he was my "husband" back in SYA camp last year. Hahahaa.

On Saturday, I went out with Siddiq who was being a massive irritant cos he never failed to irritate the hell out of me for every minute of the time. Was quite irritating la but had to endure. At night I spilled out everything, every problem in my mind to him and was close to tears but obviously I hold it back so that my ego is secured and he was like, consoling me to death but he knew I won't listen cos I'm me being me. Ha di ha. At that moment I just want my besties and hug both Nurul Amira and Siti Hanisah cos I know both of them are always there for me. Love love.

At night went to meet Cuzzie and over to her place to meet Embah. I so missed her so much that I felt guilty for coming over quite late (for her) cos she is going to sleep. And I wished Ibu a happy birthday and kissed her on her cheek and ate a slice of the cream cake which is a total yummylicious and I like I like I like. And then Syazwan called me and he was at Al-Ghufran, which is so near to Cuzzie's place so he came over to the next block with his friends and we lepak-ed all the way to 12 am. Was so hilarious la cos I was being fooled like fuck; Hakim was like, "Ehh, kereta la!" so I looked at where he was pointing and I was being laughed at cos they went like, "Ah ni nampak sah tak pernah nampak kereta." KNNCCB. hahhaa. So when we left, I was quite scared cos at that time, obviously it will be the last bus and the freaking bus refused to wait for me even when I was inches away from the bus stop. So when I was waiting, (it was almost a century) I kept thinking that that bus was the last bus untillll I saw a brightly-lit double-deck 17 (GODSEND!) approaching so I leapt off from my seat and bid them goodbye and went home but I COULD NOT SLEEP so I tossed around and fumbled like fuck and the kittycats were all over me, manja2 and ha di ha. (:
